Practise brahma mudra to improve your concentration

This yoga mudra will boost your energy levels and make you more productive at work.

Finding it difficult to focus at work? Try practising this yoga mudra recommended by yoga expert Raman Mishra to instantly boost your energy levels and improve your focus at work. Brahma mudra also known as purna mudra is an easy hand gesture will help release the energy blocked within your body directing its reflexes and flow to the brain. Brahma mudra is said to help you calm your mind and help you relax. It releases pent up negative energies and toxins from the body.
How to perform?
To do this mudra, all you have to do is curl both your hands into a fist. Remember to wrap your fingers into your thumb. Place your hands with the palms facing upwards on your legs while in padmasana. If you find it difficult to sit in padmasana, you can sit in sukhasana. Now press the knuckles of both the hands together. While pressing gently, put your hands in the centre of your abdomen just above your pubic bone. Breathe for a few minutes while in the mudra and observe the flow of energy into your body.
Another reason to love this mudra is that you can do it anytime, anywhere and you don’t need a yoga mat or other props. Start your morning with the brahma mudra and repeat it daily for 40 days. Practising this mudra in the morning will help you find a deep sense of peace and serenity. This mudra is best done during meditation as it helps you attain a higher meditative state. Word of caution:
  • Do not perform this mudra for too long if you are someone with kapha dosha.
  • Take proper guidance from a guru or a yoga teacher before you start practising the mudras.
